Clean Registry Guide

The more time you use your computer, the more the System Registry is clogged up with numerous unused keys and values, because most of modern applications and programs don’t delete all their Registry keys and values when user uninstalls them. Also viruses can damage the Register. This problem can slow down Windows System, that’s why it is very important to know how to clean the Registry. In spite that fact that the Registry cleaning is a very useful action, still it is not an easy one. System Registry is a component of Windows OS that contains all the information about the computer and about the programs that are installed on it. The main aim of the Registry is to keep the configurations and settings of all the installed programs and the hardware attached to the computer. The System Registry is the radical method of hardware and software monitoring.

So what are the signs that it is the high time to clean the Registry? If your computer is very slow in work and startup, if it shows the system alerts and errors, freezes from time to time or even crashes, then the correct Registry cleaning will be a very useful for it.

There are 2 ways how to clean registry: manually, using Registry Editor or with the help of some registry cleaning software. But you should not clean the registry manually if you don’t have some required knowledge about it. A person who is going to clean the registry should know how to handle it and what every key is responsible for. If you delete any important registry entries, so some (may be very useful programs for you) will work wrong. No matter how you are going to clean the registry, you should do the backup copy of it:

1. Open the Registry Editor (Press windows button +R).
2. Type “regedit” and click OK.
3. On the menu toolbar choose File.
4. Scroll down and choose Export.
5. Type the name and save the copy.

There are many programs that are created to clean the registry for that people who are not sure what and why should they remove in the registry. And you can also use them. Here are the examples of such programs: Security Stronghold Registry Cleaner, Registry Mechanic, Registry Healer and some others.

These programs are based on one principle: they scan the registry and delete some errors like the missing links of a file. Some programs are so convenient that let you to create a backup copy of the Register using it. It is very easy to restore the registry, using the backup copy if the System will become unstable because of some changes in the registry.
