Cleaning registry – Between you and me and the bedpost

Nowadays some people that take care of their computer buy registry cleaners and registry optimizers, because this programs fight off the System crash, clean the System Registry (that full of garbage) and intensify the work of the computer. Windows Registry is a place in hard drive where the Windows System keeps some information that can be useful in the future, for example some changes of System Settings. You can find there also user’s profile, information about the file types, hardware and software that is installed or was delete.
Why do we need a registry cleaner? Because the Registry stales little by little and fills up with old and irrelevant information. This can happen due to some reasons, for example when the application is deleted, but only by removing its folders or changing the drive letter but the System Registry still contain the information about it. No matter what the reasons are, all of them cause the agglomeration of unused files in the Registry and destroy its well co-ordinated work.
As a result the computer works slowly, shows some system errors and alerts and even the System can crash. If your computer begins to startup more slowly that early, then you have some problems with the Registry. In order to preclude this situation, you can clean the registry both manually (but remember that it is a very hard and dangerous way) or with the help of one of the registry cleaners. You can use WinZip Registry Optimizer it can radically improve the performance of the PC.
It doesn’t matter what way you will choose you should do the backup copy of the System registry and save some very important information from your computer to any external hard drive. There are some programs that can do the backup copy by themselves and if not you should do it manually. The Registry cleaning process is a very hard occupation, that’s why if you are not sure that you will manage to do it perfectly, it’s not for you. It is very hard to know all the Registry keys or at least to detect what it is responsible for because every Registry Key has a very long name and its name doesn’t say much about its purpose. Even not every user can detect every odd key.

Until you are not sure what you are going to remove, don’t do it. You need a special instruction how to delete or change defined Registry Entry, but it is better not to try out with it. There are numerous amount of special programs among which you will be able to choose one suitable for you. In addition there are more than 2,000 of unused entries and it is impossible to delete them all manually. It is very useful to clean your System registry once a month. Using any registry cleaner you should close all the other program windows and also the programs that are in the System Tray (right-click them and choose exit).
